I have been on the Internet since 2010 looking for a way to work from home and find financial freedom. I have tried many different offline home businesses in the past to help make ends meet. Shaklee supplements was the first in the early 90’s. The supplements were great at that time and I became my own best customer but I did not earn enough to cover what I spent. Now Shaklee is no longer with the original creators and they have supplements with ingredients that are not the same.

Tupperware Party Anyone?

The next business was Tupperware. I was recruited by a colleague from my job and it was going well at first, but then I felt the pressure from her to have parties to sell weekly. I started to avoid phone calls because we didn’t have caller ID back then and I didn’t want to get cross-examined for not booking a party. She needed for me to sell so she could earn more. Well needless to say I was again my own best customer and I departed from Tupperware.

Avon Calling…

My next business was Avon. Avon back in the 90’s when I was recruited by my “Avon lady” was totally door to door with catalogues you handed out and you could be assigned a territory,( a neighborhood to canvas). Later in Avon’s evolution, you could recruit and earn by sponsoring others into your “downline” and even do charity group fund-raisers to earn. My Avon business had more success since Avon products were well known and international. Customers could buy for holidays to give gifts to family and friends as well as their personal cosmetic and skin care needs. Since the products were consumables, you would always have a customer. I even worked with Avon when we were stationed overseas. I did business among the military dependents. Avon was fun and I earned enough to make small purchases. I was my own best customer again, but I did make small earnings to buy things I needed like a new tire for my car but only one new tire.

Avon ‘s marketing style began to change with the times and gave Avon representatives websites where we could take orders online. But it started to lose its identity. The person to person interaction and personalized service that made them a household name and loved by the public was slowly going to the wayside. Since we moved frequently being a military family, I would lose my customers, but I could keep up with them through the website. Unfortunately, many of my customers were older and loved the Avon person to person service. They would not order from the Internet because of lack of knowledge in using the computer and some did not like the impersonal feeling of skimming the catalogue online instead holding the physical catalogue and asking their Avon representative questions. Eventually, Avon and I parted ways due its losing its “soul” to keep up with the times.

I Finally Found the Perfect Online Business

Over the years, I have kept up my search for the ideal business with a product that everyone needs, it’s an honest business and something I would love to do. I have finally found it with InteleTravel through PlanNet Marketing. I love to travel and I can help my friends and family get the best rates for their travels and earn, too. 1. Thank you for sharing your experiences and journey in search of the perfect home-based business. It’s evident that you have explored various opportunities over the years and encountered both successes and challenges along the way. Your perseverance and commitment to finding something you love and that provides financial freedom are commendable.

It’s interesting to see how the landscape of home businesses has evolved, from offline ventures like Shaklee supplements, Tupperware parties, and Avon’s door-to-door sales, to the transition into online platforms with Avon’s website and now your current venture with InteleTravel through PlanNet Marketing.

    1. Hi Anoth,

Thanks for reading my post about my looong journey of finding a great business opportunity. I love the one I have now and it is taking off. I have already booked several travels. Its like my previous professional career, nursing. I still help people, but I can help relieve worries by assisting them with planning their trips within their budgets.

It is sad in away how things have changed from personalized service to online platforms. The good thing is you can reach more people and if you do videos( which I need to do) and add places for your clients to interact with you, like online chat, emails, phone calls, you can still hold onto the human element. Having that human element is what creates the relationship and trust that people need to eventually use your services! I don’t think that part of business will ever go away even in the technological new marketplace.

    1. Hi Tony,

Thanks for your great questions and reading my post. Yes, I have found my opportunity. I have already traveled and lived in 3 different states in the US and traveled to even more states and countries because of my military background. I have always loved traveling. I lived in Italy for 6 years, traveled to Austria, Germany, Spain, France, Azores, Portugal and Japan. I am planning to do some FamTrips(promotional trips for advisors)with InteleTravel soon. Will blog on WA about that in the near future.

InteleTravel is the original at-home travel host agency, and was established in 1991. InteleTravel’s founder, Joseph R. Traina, aimed to create a new model of selling where anyone could sell travel remotely on their own time and from their own home. They provide training and support. They have established business relationships with major cruise lines, hotels, resorts, vacation companies and other travel partners. They are available in the following countries:

United States (including territories of US Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands,
      Guam, and American Samoa)
United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland)
      France
      Martinique
      Guadeloupe
      Jamaica
      Dominican Republic
      Bahamas
      Trinidad and Tobago
      Cayman Islands
      Bermuda
      St Kitts and Nevis
      Barbados
      Turks and Caicos
      Panama
      Belize
      Mexico

Planning to expand in 2023-24 to Canada, Republic of Ireland and possibly Germany.

PlanNet Marketing is an MLM with elements of direct sales and affiliate marketing with InteleTravel partnership. The business is done online, through phone communications, and in person.

When you book hotel rooms, car rentals, airline tickets, travel insurance, tours and/or vacation packages for a client, you earn commissions with InteleTravel based on how much you sell. The same rules apply if you book a trip for yourself.

The PlanNet Marketing- InteleTravel Compensation Plan is straightforward. Just like any other MLM companies, there are 2 main ways for you to make money withPlanNet Marketing- InteleTravel:

Earn a percentage of commissions from the travel tickets/packages you sell

      Compensation for advisors you recruit.

If you do not want the compensation for recruiting travel advisors, you can just participate in InteleTravel only and earn from travel booking commissions only. The choice is up to you. What’s different also with this business opportunity, is your business can be handed to your descendants if you pass away.

My clients have traveled to states within the US and others are booking future Caribbean Ocean and Colombian river cruises. Will keep you posted on WA with my progress.

In today’s digital age, finding a flexible and profitable work-from-home opportunity can be quite the challenge. As someone who has dabbled in the realm of Avon sales, I can attest firsthand that the profits are often lackluster, requiring an overwhelming amount of product sales to turn a significant profit.

However, in light of recent events, I can see how working at  a travel agency is both lucrative and personally satisfying. With COVID restrictions slowly lifting and the world gradually re-opening, more and more individuals are itching to fulfill their wanderlust dreams. And that means a surge in travel opportunities, which equates to more potential income for agents who are savvy in the art of online booking.

Being a InteleTravel travel advisor seems like a really fun work opportunity for people that have good knowledge about travel locations.

Thanks so much for this informative article about this travel company!

    1. Hi Tia,

Thanks for reading my post about my business travel journey. As a former Avon rep, you know how much work it takes and the continuous need to sell to earn. You are correct in that it takes a great amount of product sales to have a significant profit. I am so glad I found PlanNetMarketing-InteleTravel opportunity with the all the support and training. I enjoy travel and now I can earn from it. All the best to you.

  4. PlanNet marketing seems a very doable business with lots of potential to grow and prosper.

Lots of hard work and determination are the secret to success.

It’s something that you can make money even when you sleep.

Plus with the perks of traveling for yourself and the whole family.

Like you, I also dabbled in some of these small businesses when I was younger, Triumph, Avon, Tupperware, etc. But they require some monetary capital because if your customer doesn’t pay on time, you have to pay your items at a certain timeline.

    Good luck!

    Marita

    1. Hi Marita,

Salutations to a fellow Avon and Tupperware rep. Those were sell, sell to earn and no residual income. It was work and you had to cover those orders if people did not pay after they ordered. You could return some products though with Avon or try to sell them to other customers. But this business is fun because none of that pressure to sell is on your head. The perks for traveling make it fun, too. Learning, earning and traveling, what could be better? Thanks for reading my post about my business journey and thanks for your comments. Best regards.

  5. Hi Delois.

Thanks for a very informative article. I enjoyed the video. Becoming an independent Intele Travel travel advisor with PlanNet Marketing is an intriguing idea. I’ve had an online business for 7 years. Up until now, I’ve used an affiliate marketing model vs. network marketing. So this would involve branching out for me.

But I’m ready to create a second website. I’ve also found a passion for traveling in my retirement years. So, this is excellent food for thought.

Did I understand correctly that even my personal travel would generate commissions?

    Thanks for your help!

    Linda

    1. Hi Linda,

Thanks so much for reading my post and watching the video. This is a good business to do. I am in my retirement years, too. Yes, your personal travel generates commissions, too. You have access to learning trips, conference trips and “familiarization trips” where you can travel with different travel vendors at a special rate so you can promote their travel offers. You always have access to support from our host agency InteleTravel and support from the travel vendors. We get offers and incentives from major cruise lines, hotels, resorts, vacation companies and other travel partners. There are elements of affiliate marketing, direct sales, person to person and totally online with this travel business. It all depends on how you want to do it.  It’s a fun business! Will keep you posted on my progress here on WA. If you have anymore questions, just message me any time.

      All the best to you,

      Delois
